Langra Mango
The Tangy Treasure of Punjab
Langra mango is a traditional favorite across Pakistan and the subcontinent, famous for its distinctive tangy-sweet taste, thin skin, and long-lasting aroma. Its name, meaning “lame” in Urdu, traces back to a farmer in Varanasi who grew this variety while being physically disabled. Grown extensively in Multan, Muzaffargarh, and Dera Ghazi Khan, Langra is a mid-season variety highly preferred for both home consumption and exports.
